We are excited to let you know that we are one of few dental practices in the UK to use the new PrimeScan. This allows you to have your teeth scanned and a new restoration made on the same day! Intraoral scanning is now more accurate, faster and easier than ever.

Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, we can capture your mouth in full colour and high definition. It is processed quickly with our 3D printer, which allows patients to have their new tooth within a 6-hour time-frame – rather than waiting 2 weeks.

Say goodbye to biting on impression material for several minutes, having a funny taste and jaw ache.

With UDP you can rely on quality that has been proven millions of times over in practice. You can be reassured of predictable treatment that will stand the test of time!

If time constraints were stopping you from going ahead with your prescribed treatment then this could be the solution for you. And the great news is – it is the same price as the previous methods but saves you an extra appointment and two lots of anaesthetic!

E-max ceramic overlay (crown)

The patient had been complaining of pain on biting certain things.
The history of night time grinding and our tests, photographs and magnification diagnosed a crack that had been progressing with every bite.
We urgently needed to protect this tooth with a new roof to prevent the crack getting bigger and breaking the tooth in half.
A same-day Emax ceramic overlay was designed and made in house at University Dental Practice with minimal removal of tooth structure and careful removal of the old filling and crack, it was bonded to the tooth before lunchtime.
A nightguard was also provided to protect her teeth from clenching and grinding forces.
• Same day crown
• No temporary crown (less risk of sensitivity and infection)
• Minimal removal of natural tooth structure
• Symptom free and saved the tooth from a catastrophic fracture

Crowns are ideal for back teeth. If it is a front tooth with multiple colours then we suggest using our off-site laboratory technician to get the perfect match.

Can you just make crowns?

No, we can make inlays, onlays and implant crowns. In fact, anything out of porcelain or composite. Ask your Dentist the next time you need a filling or have a broken tooth if crowns is suitable.

How many appointments will I need?

Crowns only require one appointment. This saves you an extra appointment and two lots of anaesthetic.
